Our motto: Making homespun is fun!
Sit and Spin is an informal group of handspinners who meet monthly to learn, share and turn fiber into yarn. We cater to beginners and teach adults how to spin--on your equipment or ours.
Knitters, weavers, basketmakers, and interested adults are welcome to sit with us and work on projects. We like to demonstrate at bookstores, yarn shops, pioneer days, and craft events.
We usually meet in each others homes for a few hours once a month--no programs, dues or officers--just time to sit and spin. We sponsor an all-day workshop with a guest mentor once a year in late spring and hold an annual retreat every February at Lindenwood Retreat Center in Donaldson, Indiana (just west of Plymouth)--48 hours of spinning with kindred spirits--good food, fellowship and fun.
