Guild Profile -- Countryside Spinners and Weavers

The Countryside Spinners and Weavers meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the Johnson County Museum of History, 135 N. Main St., Franklin, IN. 10am [9:30 coffee] to 2pm.

We promote interest in all types of related textile arts,crafts,with emphasis on relation of one to the other. Introduce & welcome all newcomers to any of the crafts and provide a place for all lovers of textiles to gather & enjoy.

2005-2006 Schedule

August--Open day, planning and catch-up.

September--Picnic and barter day at Joanne Dotzlaf's house.

October--Work on Christmas decorations for the Tree Exhibit in November.

November--Decorate our tree at the Museum.

December--Christmas party and hand made gift exchange. Location to be announced.

February--Learn To Crochet. Taught by Sheila Herman. For this project bring a crochet hook size G, H, or I, and 4-ply cotton yarn (such as Sugar 'n' Cream)

March--Kumihimo

April--Basket Workshop. Taught by Louise Hoover of Conner Prairie. For information contact Lois at loiseldridge @ msn.com

May--Shibori

June--Picnic

July--Catch up day for State Fair projects

August--Free Day at the State Fair
