Fiber Fest & Spin-In 2010
March 12-13, 2010 Spinners demonstrate processing fibers into yarn, teach hands-on classes in spinning, needle felting, weaving, quilting, sheep shearing, Collie demonstrations, vendors, food & entertainment. Unparalleled – The Paisley Shawl
November 3, 2009 to June 2, 2010. Selma Steele's Paisley Shawls on display at the T.C. Steele State Historic Site, Nashville, Indiana.
Eight shawls, from Jacquard woven European silk to Indian twill tapestry wool shawls, will be on display in T.C. Steele's large studio and home in Brown County. A great day-trip for any fabric fanatic!
Convergence 2010 Albuquerque
July 18-25, 2010. New Visions: Ancient Paths in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Convergence is an outstanding conference for everyone who loves and works in fiber. It is the biennial, international conference sponsored and organized by the Handweavers Guild of America, Inc. (HGA), with the help of many dedicated fiber enthusiasts. Convergence features special lectures, workshops, one day studio classes, super seminars, seminars, exhibits, tours, special events, and a commercial vendor hall full of fibers, fiber-related equipment and an artist market.
